A graduate of Hacettepe University Faculty of Medicine, Assoc. Prof. Oğuz Baran completed his residency in neurosurgery in 2018. He trained in surgical neuroanatomy at the University of Florida under Prof. Albert L. Rhoton, and in neuro-oncology, awake tumor surgery and functional brain mapping at the University of Montpellier under Prof. Hugues Duffau. In 2022 he completed his training in neuroendoscopic surgery at the Pituitary Research Center of Kocaeli University under Prof. Savaş Ceylan. He was awarded the title of Associate Professor in the same year and has practiced at Koç University Hospital since September 2020. In his approach to patients he gives precedence to accurate indication, safe surgery and individualized treatment options directed at preserving and improving quality of life.
